As the nation prepares to mark its 250th Anniversary in 2026, in Washington, we will enjoy visiting Monuments & Memorials, the Smithsonian Museums, See the original Star Spangled Banner at the National Museum of American History or the Declaration of Independence at the National Archives. Experience the foundation from Indigenous stories to the Declaration of Independence. Live in the moment through global connections and local pride. Step into the future with immersive attractions and history in the making. This is a celebration of the people, by the people, for the people. And there's only one place to be part of it, Washington, DC!

4 days, 3 nights lodging at the Hampton Inn, Falls Church, Virginia, 3 deluxe continental breakfasts, Spirit of Washington Narrated Lunch Cruise, 2 dinners, Tram tour of Arlington National Cemetery, including Changing of The Guard at The Tomb of The Unknowns, see the gravesites of John, Robert and Ted Kennedy, see the Apollo and Challenger Memorials, visit Custus Lee Mansion in the cemetery, night time Illumination tour of the monuments and memorials, visits to the Lincoln, FDR, Jefferson, World War II, Vietnam Wall, Korean and Iwo Jima Memorials, picture stops at the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument, tour of Washington National Cathedral (if available), tour George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate, free time to visit the Smithsonian Museums of your choice, applying for White House tour, all taxes and gratuities on included meals and attractions, luggage service if needed and motor coach transportation.



Day 1, Monday, October 5

Depart Wal Mart, New Boston, OH 5:45am., Pick up at Midtown Shopping Center, Ashland, KY. Today we travel to our Nation's Capital for a fascinating tour into history. We will travel through West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia en route to Washington, DC. Breakfast at McDonald's, Hurricane, WV (on your own). Lunch (on your own).
Our first tour will be Arlington National Cemetery. We will take a narrated tram ride into the Cemetery. You will see the Changing of The Guard at The Tomb of The Unknowns while in the cemetery. You can visit the gravesites of President John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Ted Kennedy. You can see the memorials to the Challenger and Columbia Astronauts. Visit Custus Lee Mansion.
Dinner (on your own) at Pentagon City Mall Food Court. After dinner, we will take an Illumination Tour of the monuments and memorials, a beautiful sight! We will check into our home for 3 nights at the Hampton Inn, Falls Church, VA, 703-538-1000 (wifi, frig, microwave, indoor pool).



Day 2, Tuesday, October 6

Deluxe continental breakfast (included) in our hotel. We will depart the hotel at 7:30am. and travel into Washington, DC. Today we will meet our step-on guide for a 4 hour tour to see the monuments and memorials such as the FDR, Jefferson, Iwo Jima, National World War II, Lincoln, Korean, The Vietnam Wall and The Federal Triangle. We will make a picture stop at The White House, The Capitol Building and The Washington Monument. See the Supreme Court Building, National Archives, Embassy Row and The Smithsonian Museums. Some of these we will drive by and some we will make a stop as time permits. Lunch (on your own). This afternoon we will spend time on your own visiting the Smithsonian Museums. You choose what museums you want to visit. You will go through security at each one, so no big backpacks are allowed. After our busy day, we will have dinner (included) this evening at Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers, Foggy Bottom area. After dinner, we will return to the hotel to get some rest for another busy day.



Day 3, Wednesday, October 7

Deluxe continental breakfast (included) in our hotel. Today we will have a wonderful Spirit of Washington Narrated Lunch Cruise (included) on the Potomac River. The cruise offers scenic views of the metropolitan Washington, DC area. This afternoon, we visit Mount Vernon, the home of our nation's first President, George Washington. He brought his bride Martha here in 1759 and began his plan to become the leading scientific farmer in America. This evening, we will enjoy the The Six-Star Menu dinner (included) at the Mount Vernon Inn.



Day 4, Thursday, October 8

Deluxe continental breakfast (included) in our hotel. Bags out and depart time tba. All too soon we start our journey home taking with us memories of all the wonderful sights we have enjoyed and places we visited. We have applied for a tour of the White House and is subject to availability.
Tours of The White House include the public rooms on the State Floor, which include the Blue Room, Red Room, Green Room, State Dining Room, Cross Hall, and Entrance Hall. Secret Service Officers are stationed along the tour route and are available to answer questions about each room's history, art, furnishings, current uses, and beyond.
We will tour Washington National Cathedral after our White House Tour (if available).
Stained-glass windows, Gothic spires and flying buttresses make the Washington National Cathedral look ages old, but the grand church was actually constructed during the 20th century. Though overseen by the Episcopal Church, the house of worship welcomes people of all faiths to its impressive site on the highest point in DC.
After our tour, we will have lunch (on your own) at Cracker Barrel in Manassas, Virginia.
We travel home and will make a fast-food stop (on your own) as needed.

Tour cancellations: Full refund when cancellation is made by Wednesday, August 19, 2026 , except any charges levied by our suppliers on your behalf.

Coach seating is based on your final payment.
Single passengers will be seated with other single passengers if coach is full. Price per person will change when a roommate cancels and your accommodation type changes.

Luggage: Due to state regulations we are required to cross scales in some states.
  • 1 Bag per person 45 Lbs.
  • 1 Overnight bag per person 20 Lbs.
  • Use your bathroom scales to weigh your luggage.

If you need help with your luggage at the hotels, please let us know before we depart. This works better and much faster if you handle your own luggage. Again let us know, we are glad to help. Thank you.
